    Hoe meer zielen hoe meer vreugd zullen ze wel denken in de Arabische Golf... Het lijkt er verdorie op dat de internationale vlootdagen tegenwoordig op volle zee worden gehouden!

    Engeland heeft haar nieuwste speeltje op weg gestuurd, een of ander hieperdepiepradarboot die echt elke scheet voorbij zou moeten zien komen. Frankrijk blijft niet achter en stuurt haar statige "Charles de Gaulle", Rusland leek het een goed idee om wat sneller dan verwacht met groot materieel aan te leggen bij een Syrische haven(tegenwicht, anders deukt de zee teveel in ofzo), en Amerika...och : de CVN John Stennis ligt er al, daar is nu de CVN Carl Vinson bij gekomen, en de CVN Abraham Lincoln heeft net Thailand verlaten en is op weg door de indische oceaan om de vijfde vloot te komen ondersteunen, die -hoe toevallig- de perzische golf als operatiegebied heeft. Natuurlijk wordt onderstreept dat dit allemaal lang geleden geplande routine-operaties zijn die helemaal niets met iran te doen hebben...

      De bootjes van Amerika liggen er nog, al is al wel geoepen dat een van de drie Carriers op weg is naar andere oorden. Wat jammer dat de facebookpagina van dat schip op dezelfde dag een fotootje toont van het schip dat nu weg is naast eentje die er nog ligt. Hmmmmmmmm..

          even los van de consequenties enzo.. ik zou het wel een megastunt van iran vinden als ze inderdaad een paar van die megacarriers van de states als onderzeese blokkade voor de straat van Hormuz kunnen inzetten.. maar goed > liever niet nauurlijk.

            Niet helemaal duidelijk of het er ook echt 4 worden daar... de Stennis zou op weg zijn naar de 7e vloot maar ik kom er weinig over tegen. Lincoln is er nog wel, evenals de Carl Vinson.

            ah, en ik lees net dat het olie-embargo van de EU net van kracht is geworden. Popcorn en drankjes paraat, de kans op vuurwerk is zojuist verdrievoudigd

            leuke mediabiasje : Nu.nl zegt dat de sancties meteen ingaan maar dat lopende contracten tot juli uitge ..eum.lopen? mogen worden
            de Telegraaf roept dat het embargo pas in juli ingaat. Da's wel een verschilletje zeg!

                          Onder andere kunnen ze nu dus India niet meer betalen voor de rijst die ze importeren. Vaag zeg, ik meende toch echt laatst iets gelezen te hebben over dat India en Iran voortaan via roebels of evt zelfs middels goud zouden gaan handelen. Of gewoon direkt in olie, da's toch helemaal makkelijk ? Niks wisselen, gewoon een rijst-olie wisselkoers afspreken, (bijna) iedereen blij.
